David MacMillan, CFA, President & CEO

David Macmillan is an entrepreneur with extensive experience building start-ups using public markets across multiple industries.

Mr. MacMillan holds an MSc in International Economics from the University of Glasgow, where he graduated first in his class. He also holds a BA in economics from McGill University and is a and is a CFA® charterholder.

 

Scott Jackman - President US Division

Scott Jackman is President of the US Division of Deveron.  He was raised on a row crop and dairy farm in Illinois.  He recently retired from the US Army where he served as a pilot and an officer. He has extensive experience with remote sensing, data analytics, and running distributed operations.

He started a US-based precision ag company after retirement from the US Army and recently merged with Deveron.  He is now the President of the US Division of Deveron.  He is focused on introducing US companies and growers to the true value of data-enabled farming. 

 

Aaron Breimer - General Manager

Aaron Breimer has his roots in production agriculture having been raised on a cash crop farm in SW Ontario. After completing his H.B. Sc (Agr.) at the University of Guelph in 2001, he started his career working in agriculture retail as a sales agronomist. Aaron spent 10 years as a sales agronomist working with a variety of crops including broad acre cash crops as well as a large variety of specialty crops. In 2003 he obtained his Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) designation and in 2007 his Professional Agrologist (P.Ag.) designation.

 

Mike Wilson - Data Collection Lead

Mike was born and raised on a cash crop farm in Southwestern Ontario close to the City of Chatham where he continues to farm and implement many of these solutions with his father and uncle today. Mike is the Data Collections Lead with Deveron, where he works to create, coach, and support agronomic and precision solution offerings for a growing network of partners in Canada and the United States.

Mike's passion for agriculture, his invaluable hands-on experience, and his strong practical knowledge of agronomy and precision farming allow him to effectively communicate with, and create solutions for customers.

 

 

Jacob Nederend - Agronomy Research

Jacob is a recent graduate of the University of Guelph where he obtained a BSc in Agriculture in 2015. Immediately after graduation, he entered Guelph’s MSc in Plant Agriculture program and is approaching its completion in 2018. 

He was raised on his family’s dairy farm in Waterloo County, ON where they grow corn, soybeans, cereals, and forages. In addition to working on the farm throughout university, Jacob interned as a research scientist for 3 summers on both public and private research farms. He has been recognized by awards at multiple levels of the university, including the OMAFRA Highly Qualified Personnel Scholarship.

 

Sean Langley - Software Architect
 

Sean Langley brings a multi-faceted experience to the team. He was drawn to Apple technologies early in his career at Corel where he shipped 4 versions of CorelDRAW for Macintosh. He followed this up by shipping 7 EA game titles for the Macintosh. He has built secure container software for iOS, EMR connection technology for mobile devices, education software, wound tracking systems and wearable technology systems for autistic children. 

When not working, Sean is a triathlete, and can be seen swimming, biking and running around Toronto.

Josh - Account Executive

Josh is a recent graduate of Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa where he obtained a BA in Business Administration and in Agri-business. During his time at Northwestern, Josh studied abroad in Romania for a semester learning the culture and language of the country as well as the different farming practices used abroad.

He was raised in a small town in Iowa where his family grows corn and soybeans as well as raising hogs. Josh previously was a sales agronomist and had done a mission trip to Belize before coming on at Deveron in our sales development division in the US.
